About Jon Newman
Jon started The Hodges Partnership in 2002 with his business partner Josh Dare to create and agency their much younger selves would have liked to work with – an agency with smart but unpretentious people, one that puts a premium on integrity and results and that injects just the right amount of fun into the day’s hard work. Since then, he’s worked with hundreds of clients to help them market their businesses through media relations, strategic communications, social media and content marketing.
Before launching Hodges, Jon worked on-air and in management at a number of radio and TV news organizations in New Jersey, Tennessee and Virginia before joining The Martin Agency. He parlayed his media background into national media placements for countless clients, and that media relations focus is still a core competency at The Hodges Partnership.
Jon is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond and has served on the boards organizations as diverse as the Henricus Historical Park and the Rockville Little League. He is currently the creator and co-host of The Scarlet Spotlight, a Rutgers sports podcast.
